In short. Buy the app, use it for as long as you like on the devices your store account allows. Your records are yours and live on your phone, which also means keeping backups is your job — we have no copy and cannot recover anything.
Coffret helps you record and total your own numbers. It is not an accountant, and nothing it displays is tax or financial advice.
Agreeing to these terms
By downloading or using Coffret you agree to these terms. If you do not, do not use the app. Where your app store's own terms conflict with these, that store's terms win for anything to do with the purchase itself.
What you get
A personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Coffret on devices you own or control, for your own purposes — including your own business. You may not redistribute, resell, rent or sublicense the app, or try to extract its source code beyond what the law allows you to do regardless of what a licence says.
We keep ownership of the app itself. You keep ownership of everything you put into it.
It is not financial, tax or legal advice
Coffret records the figures you enter and does arithmetic on them. Deductible percentages, tax set-aside targets, budget projections and accountant exports are calculations based on what you typed and the settings you chose. They are not a professional opinion, they do not take account of your circumstances, and they are not a substitute for an accountant or a tax adviser.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for what you file. Check the numbers before relying on them for a tax return, an invoice or any other decision that matters.
Your data and your backups
Your records are stored on your device and nowhere else. There is no account to recover and no server-side copy. That is the point of the app, and it has a direct consequence:
- If you lose, wipe, break or replace your device, or uninstall the app, whatever is not in a backup is gone permanently.
- Creating backups, storing them somewhere safe, and keeping them current is your responsibility. The app can remind you and can write the file; it cannot do the rest.
- Backup files are exported decrypted so they can be restored on another device. Protect them accordingly.
We cannot restore data for you, because we do not have it.
Buying the app
Coffret is sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Those companies are the seller: they take the payment, set the applicable taxes, and handle billing. The price is whatever is shown in your store at the time of purchase, in your currency and region.
A purchase is tied to your store account under that store's own rules, which is what determines how many devices you can install on and how a re-download or a family-sharing arrangement works.
Refunds
Because the stores take the payment, they also process refunds, under their own published policies and timescales — we cannot issue one directly. Request a refund through Apple or Google, whichever you bought from.
If something is broken, tell us at optimizeincghana@gmail.com or on WhatsApp as well. We would rather fix the problem, and we will support a refund request where one is warranted. Consumer law in your country may give you cancellation rights beyond a store's policy; nothing here removes them.
Updates and availability
We may release updates that add, change or remove features. We may also stop publishing the app. Because it runs entirely on your device, a copy you have already installed keeps working whether or not another version ever ships — and your export and backup files stay readable in a documented format regardless.
We do not promise that any specific feature will exist forever, or that the app will run on operating system versions released after it.
Acceptable use
Do not use Coffret to break the law, and do not try to interfere with its security measures — for example the database encryption or the unlock gate — on a device that is not yours.
No warranty
The app is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, and we disclaim the implied warranties that would otherwise apply.
If you are a consumer, you have legal rights that cannot be excluded by a document like this one. Nothing here limits them.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits, missed filings, penalties, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from using the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for Coffret.
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law where you live, and you may have the right to bring proceedings in your own country.
Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of this page changes when we do, and continuing to use the app after that means the new version applies. Material changes will be flagged in the app rather than only here.
